A small amount of money has been made available to the Shelter for spay/neuter and emergency animal medical care.
In 2006, Animals TLC merged with Animal Friend. The Animal Friends name continued with the education component being named Animals – Teaching Love and Compassios (TLC). To date several programs on various aspects of animal care and behavior have been held at the Boy and Girls Club. Books have been purchased for the Nancy Carol Robert Library and an educational seminar was held at that location as well as at Germania Insurance.
Our mission expanded when we realized the tremendous need in our County for low cost spay/neuter. A meeting in August 2006 that attracted over 20 group from 13 surrounding counties brought home the need for a regional clinic.
