Carnival Success !

The second annual Carnival at the Dog Park held May 9th was considered a great success by all. A wonderful crowd came out to view the exhibits and to see our very own Brenham Police K-9 demonstration. New this year was the Pet Parade. Teresa James orchestrated the event with judges Angela Knauss, Rick Perkins, and Brandon Smith — all did a terrific job though they had a difficult time deciding the winners. There were over 50 entries in this fun parade.

Returning this year was the Texas Hospice and Reptile Sanctuary, an event favorite, plus T-Bar, Brenham Animal Shelter, Four Paws Rescue, Aggieland Pets with a Purpose, Milk Producers, an Alpaca group, 1st Step Dog Training and Grooming and Brenham Portrait Gallery and Mobile pet Grooming and Spa.

Adding to the festive atmosphere was the Jonas Lacina Band, free Popcorn, Cotton Candy, hot dogs and drinks and a Children’s Bounce House.

The day was almost perfect as the rain held off although the wind got challenging toward the end of the Carnival.  Everyone had a fun time.
