Dr. Jeremy Finch DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Jeremy Finch is a 2005 graduate of Texas A&M University CVM. He lives in La Grange with wife Amie and 4 sons. Dr. Finch has been involved in mixed animal practice his entire career both as a practitioner and a practice owner. Professionally he mostly enjoys serving clients by helping them find solutions to their veterinary needs no matter what domestic species or issue it is. In addition to practicing at Animal Friends of Washington County he performs large animal mobile veterinary services and work in Bastrop at a small animal practice. When not working, Dr. Finch enjoys spending time with his family mostly outdoors.

Dr. Kelli Novicke DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Kelli Novicke grew up in The Woodlands, Texas, and spent much of her childhood visiting her grandparents' farm in Bellville. From an early age, she was surrounded by animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, horses, and cattle, which inspired her passion for veterinary medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree from St. Edward's University before graduating from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences in 2021. After three years in mixed animal practice, Dr. Novicke transitioned to relief veterinary work to spend more time with her young daughter. Her professional interests include surgery, dermatology, and client education. Outside of work, Dr. Novicke enjoys spending time with her family and animals, including her black Labrador, Josie who may occasionally be spotted around the clinic or at the dog park.

Jimi 

Veterinary Technician

Jimi is a Mayde Creek High School graduate. She was a member of FFA for 4 years, showing cattle and lambs during that time. She has worked in the Veterinary field since 1998.

Dr. Katelyn Ingram DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Ingram and her husband, Austin, grew up in Weatherford, Texas. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in Animal Science and Industry from Kansas State University in 2015 before earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Dr. Ingram practiced small animal medicine in Corpus Christi until moving to Brenham at the start of 2026. Her professional interests include surgery and ultrasound. She has earned Certificates of Proficiency in both Soft Tissue Ultrasound and Echocardiography through the WAVE program. In her free time, Dr. Ingram enjoys going to the ranch and the beach with Austin, their two daughters, and two Brittany Spaniels.

Sonja 

Clinic Manager

Sonja began her career as a Veterinary Technician in 1988. She moved to a ranch in Caldwell and added to her experience at Texas A&M as an Exotic Animal Technician.  She subsequently worked in several veterinary emergency clinics in the Houston and surrounding areas during her 34 years as a technician. She managed a small animal clinic in Cypress Texas for 4 years and then joined Animal Friends in 2012. Sonja became the clinic manager in 2015.

Heather 

Veterinary Technician

Heather embarked on her professional journey as a veterinary technician back in 1995 while pursuing her college education in Florida. Relocating to Navasota, she established herself within the local veterinary community, contributing her expertise to numerous clinics in the vicinity. Prior to joining Animal Friends, Heather held a managerial role at a veterinary clinic in Waller, where she dedicated over three years to ensuring the well-being of both pets and their owners.

Dr. Kevin Kruse DVM

Veterinarian

Kevin is a second generation native Texan with Cherokee Indian heritage. Kevin graduated from Texas A&M University with his DVM in 1988. He has been a small clinician most of his professional life with a focus in emergency care the past 12 years. He loves rural Southeast Texas and living the small-town life with his wife. He is heavily involved with his family cattle ranch. Kevin's hobbies include photography and high power model rocketry.

Rachael 

Veterinary Technician

Rachael is a Brenham High School graduate. She was a member of FFA, 4-H Horse Club and a Washington County Calf Scrambler winner. She attended the Texas Academy of Animal Control Officers and graduated Valedictorian. She joined Animal Friends as a Veterinary Technician in January 2009. Rachael has been a member of the Bellville Heritage Cowgirls for many years. She has several horses, dogs, cats and cattle. Her late father was a great inspiration for Rachael’s love of animals.

Cynthia 

Computer Associate

Cynthia is a native of Bellville, TX. She has 2 dogs, bunches of chickens and ducks and enjoys working in her garden growing flowers and veggies. She has been in the animal industry since 2019 and loves working with animals.
