Goals
“ANIMAL FRIENDS OF WASHINGTON COUNTY IS COMMITTED TO AID IN THE PREVENTION OF ANIMAL OVER-POPULATION; PROTECT WITH LOVING CARE THOSE ANIMALS THAT ARE ABUSED OR ABANDONED; AND PROVIDE AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE PEOPLE CAN ENJOY THEIR FURRY FRIENDS.”
To facilitate our mission, Animal Friends has four goals:
- Provide a facility that will offer low-cost and no-cost spay/neuter and wellness. We have accomplished this mission through the Animal Friends Connie Clinic that opened in June 2008. (See Animal Friends Clinic.)
- Provide a setting for people and their pets to play in a safe pleasant environment (See Animal Friends Dog Park)
- Provide, in conjunction with local government, an adequate and attractive facility to house unwanted, abused and abandoned animals and to facilitate in the adoption of these animals.
- Serve as a resource, training and information center on all aspects of animal welfare.
